Leadman Reference Measurement Laboratory Passed the IFCC 2008 External Quality Assessment Scheme

Leadman reference measurement laboratory was established in the end of 2006. In 2007, It participated in RELA – IFCC External Quality Assessment Scheme for Reference Laboratories in Laboratory Medicine and obtained satisfactory results.
In order to meet the requirements of product traceability, we ordered 4 measurands including AST, AMY , glucose, and urea in August, 2008. We got the blind samples from IFCC in November 2008, and tested these samples with reference procedures approved by Joint Committees of Traceability in Laboratory Medicine（JCTLM）and evaluated the uncertainties of these results. In April 2009, we handed in our results and uncertainties.
In May 2009, we received feedbacks from IFCC. The feedback showed that our testing results meet the requirements prescribed by IFCC. It indicated that the reference measurement ability of our laboratory met the international requirements for reference laboratories. Our main tasks are to maintain and improve the measurement ability of our lab, to establish more and more reference measurement procedures and to make our lab a first-ranking professional one.
